This is Ella’s third season with Candesca. Her musical journey began as a young child playing piano, which grew in time to becoming a classically trained pianist, receiving her RCM grade 8. Ella loved to sing and would play piano and sing jazz and RnB at many community performances. Ella was an original Bumbershoot Apprenticeship member and a band and choir member at her school. At age 15, Ella met Alexandra Babbel and her love for classical and opera music sparked. During her time in Candesca, she has travelled to New York to sing at venues such as St. Paul’s Chapel at Ground Zero and St. John the Devine Cathedral. As she pursues a Bachelor of Science at the University of British Columbia, she has really appreciated the opportunity to have a musical outlet, as well as getting to know some wonderful, like-minded ladies.
