Stacy Ishkanian

Meet The Talented

Stacy Ishkanian

Stacy Ishkanian is a local soprano, singing for the first time with Candesca. Music was an early interest; as a child, Stacey studied voice and organ and participated in local theatre and musical theatre productions. Stacey sang in choirs in Kelowna and Vancouver in her teens and early twenties; she finished third and first in her two competitions at the Kiwanis Music Festival. After many years away for university, work and family, Stacy returned to Kelowna and to music. In 2016, she auditioned to study with Alexandra Babbel and in doing so, discovered a love for Baroque and early classical works. In 2018, Stacey auditioned for the Opera Kelowna Chorus and sang in her first opera, George Bizet’s ‘Carmen.’ Stacy was accepted into the 2019 Summer Intensive Training Program and, following that, returned for a second season with the Opera Kelowna Chorus. Stacey is thrilled to be a part of Candesca’s Ceremony of Carols. Stacey lives on a farm with her husband and two young sons.
